Thrive Behavioral Sciences provides psychiatric evaluations for medication management, diagnosis confirmation and treatment recommendations. Our team of behavioral health care specialists deliver services to improve and stabilize mental health needs for patients residing in skilled and assisted living facilities. Your coverage areas would include; Greater Orlando, Space Coast, West Palm and Jacksonville.

Job Description:

The Regional Medical Director (RMD) is a supervisor position geographically located within the region they reside. Thrive RMD is at the forefront of innovation in practicing with non-physician providers (NPP) who provide care to the under-served. Leveraging Thrive’s technology driven practice to produce evidence based outcomes in behavioral health care delivery.

Thrive Programs include:

Gradual Dose Reduction (GDR) Program management
New Admission Assessments
Trauma Informed Care
Direct Admit Programs

Provide treatment collaboration and support with assigned NPP Staff.
Gradual Dose Reduction meeting attendance (2-4 facilities per month).
Remotely conduct chart audits (10 charts per supervised NPP per month).
Attend Provider Meeting (quarterly).
Assists in the development of programs to enhance behavioral health awareness and outcomes.
Participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
Experience requirements
M.D. or D.O. degree, Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required. Current, unrestricted license to practice as a health professional in Florida, with the ability to obtain license in any other state or territory of the United States as needed. Managed care experience to include utilization management, case management and/or disease management preferred.
Board Certified in Psychiatry.
Must be a graduate of medical school and completed an appropriate psychiatric residency.
Must be licensed to practice in Florida.
Three years of professional experience in a mental health facility or clinic.
Credentialed with local hospital(s), preferred
